Songwriting has been a passion of mine for almost 20 years now. I can't wait to write every personal custom song for you that will always forever truly be yours. I strive to put every ounce of passion into every composition I write. After reading your questionnaire I look to find the things that are most important to you as a couple and make a musical arrangement that is memorable and expresses the unique love you have for each other.

Custom Song Options

There are a lot of custom song options out there today on the internet. If you plug in a search into google or yahoo with the words custom song a number of sites come up. Here are some other options out there for you if my style of writing and influences like David Gray, Mat Kearny, Rob Thomas, Howie Day, Dave Matthews, Johnny Cash and Matt Nathanson don't fit what you are looking for. Note: I have written some good country songs for custom song clients as well.

Custom songs, or personalized songs consist of a non-songwriter providing information to a songwriter so that the information can then be turned into a piece of music. Unlike the Song poem of the 1960s and 1970s, these songs are more often than not purchased as gifts and do not claim any commercial intentions. The consumer demographic consists mostly of Generation Xers who are trying to be creative in their gift giving. With the Internet, songs can be written, recorded, and sent via email so that the whole process can take very little time.
The spectrum of services provided in this field are broad. Some agencies merely offer a song with a certain theme (e.g. an anniversary or birthday) on a CD with a personalized label. Others are a step up and provide a pre-recorded song with the name of the recipient inserted into the song. The most popular sites; however, offer completely original songs written and recorded from start to finish based on information provided by the customer. Some sites use a specific composer or songwriter to compose the music where others use crowdsourcing by allowing multiple songwriters and composers to compete for the project.

Writing your custom song for your wedding. How it all works.

To get started on your song I will need your custom song questionnaire completed, your Big Day Songwriting Contract signed and a down payment for your song.

Step 1: Get in contact with me
Give me a call or fill out the Contact page form and we'll chat via email and/or phone about your idea. I will ask you lots of questions and listen intently to understand your custom song desires and subject matter.

Step 2: Fill our the Big Day Song Custom Song Questionnaire:
Example Questions• Tell me about yourself and your husband/wife/fiance'• Where you met? How you met?• What you noticed first about him/her?• How long have you been together?• What little things do they do that you love? That drive you crazy?• What you love most about him/her?• What is your favorite thing to do together? • Why is he or she the one?• What challenges have you faced together? Obstacles you have overcome?• Where do you live? What kind of neighborhood? Where do you want to live one day?• A funny story about him or her? Step 3- Writing your custom song:
I will begin crafting your lyrics and melody's to produce a rough draft of your song. This will take two to four weeks depending on the project. I put the first draft of your song on my website for your review using a special code so only you can listen to it.. You can listen to this rough draft and make any critiques before continuing on to the final recording and mixing. I always remember that this is your song.
